Joss Whedon is gonna be sooo rich. He's signed on to write and direct a second Avengers film, plus he's developing a mysterious Marvel-related project for ABC TV.
Two months before The Avengers hit theaters, Whedon told the British magazine SFX that he thought a sequel to the film should be “smaller, more personal, more painful.”

Frank Sinatra's birthday tribute to Ringo Starr's wife

In 1968, Frank Sinatra was persuaded to sing a special birthday tribute to Ringo Starr's wife, Maureen. Set to the tune of "Lady is a Tramp," with rewritten lyrics and piano accompaniment by Sammy Cahn, the tune was the first track issued on the Beatles' Apple records, but only a few singles were pressed for Ringo's private use.
