The Apple site was launched to market the latest remasters from the label's catalog and features some cool historical footage and articles about the roster, which included the likes of Badfinger, Mary Hopkin and Badfinger.

New British coin features John Lennon

From the Liverpool Echo:

For the first time in its 1,000-year history, the Royal Mint asked the public to decide who should join the likes of William Shakespeare, Sir Winston Churchill and Florence Nightingale on its series of coins commemorating British figures of the past.

More than 30,000 votes were cast, with just over 92% – 27,874 – nominating Lennon as the icon most deserving of a place in monetary history.

Director Christopher Nolan's third Bat pic will be out in 2012. The Riddler has been vetoed as the film's lead villain. I predict a Catwoman appearance.

Caprica canceled but new prequel show is a go

Syfy wasn't satisfied with ratings for the "Battlestar Galactica" prequel. But it's not all bad news for fans:

The news comes a week after another prequel series, "Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome", was announced. That more action-oriented show, set during the First Cylon War and following a 20-something William Adama as he is first assigned to the Galactica, has not been affected by this announcement.
