Comics scribe/historian Mark Evanier details who exactly drew the images featured on the U.S. Postal Service's upcoming Marvel Comics stamps. Turns out Marvel gave some faulty info to the USPS, which made it's way onto the postal service's official press release. Mark has additional updates on the topic here and here.

Author Neal Gabler has a new book about Walt Disney coming out.

For his new book, Walt Disney: The Triumph of American Imagination, entertainment expert Neal Gabler was given complete access to the Disney archives. His biography begins when Disney was just a glimmer of an idea, and ends at the entrance to the Walt Disney mausoleum.

The book is available from Amazon for $23.10.

Sonic Youth has a rarities/b-sides compiliation in the works.

The Destroyed Room begins with "Fire Engine Dream," a previously unreleased outtake from 2003's "Sonic Nurse" and also includes the first airings of "Queen Anne Chair" and "Three Part Sectional Love Seat," from 2001's "Noho Furniture Sessions."The album also rounds up tracks from such compilations as "All Tomorrow's Parties 1.1" and "At Home With the Groovebox," B-sides and international bonus tracks and "Blink," the band's contribution to the 1999 "Pola X" soundtrack.
