Capitol soundtracks Lennon documentary

Capitol Records has announced a soundtrack to accompany the new documentary film, "The U.S. vs. John Lennon."

The film looks at the ex-Beatles' early 1970s struggles against the Nixon Administration, which was trying to deport him from the United States and secretly using the FBI to spy on him due to Lennon's high-profile protests against the Vietnam War.

Capitol's soundtrack, out Sept. 26, collects 19 tracks, including: "Imagine," "Nobody Told Me," "Instant Karma (We All Shine On)," "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)," and "Power To The People," as well as two previously unreleased tracks, "Attica State," recorded live at 1971's "John Sinclair Freedom Rally" benefit concert in Ann Arbor, Michigan and the film's instrumental version of "How Do You Sleep."
